Hope you like some of these photos detailing my trip, via train to Whittier for boarding of my cruise.
- Whittier has one way in by land, a 2.5 mile long tunnel through the mountain under an alpine glacier.
- That tunnel is one lane and is shared by both road vehicles and train and so entry is coordinated with trains having right of way as the railroad owns the tunnel
- Whittier was originally a secret military outpost due to is secluded location
